Can the Interlock turn off my vehicle? No, it is impossible for the LifeSafer® Interlock to turn off your vehicle.

 

Do I have to pull over to take the tests? No, there are no buttons to push. The LifeSafer® Interlock will blink and beep when it's time for a test.
Will the interlock fail me if I use mouthwash? Yes, but if you rinse your mouth out with water and take the retest, it will pass you because you do not ingest enough of it.
Can I use an air tank or balloon to take the test for me if I were drinking? No, the LifeSafer® Interlock has a sensor inside that looks for vibration, that's why you hum into the unit as apposed to "blowing" into the LifeSafer® Interlock.
If I have a problem will I be able to contact someone? Yes, there is staff on call for emergencies after hours.
What if something happens to  the unit? A 24/7 phone number is provided incase of a problem.
What if I have a leased car, does it cost more. No, it doesn't cost more if you have a leased car.
Does it cost more if I have a brand new car? No, you will only be charged for the lease of the LifeSafer® Interlock.
Can I fail if I drank the night before? Yes, Alcohol will stay in your system sometimes longer than you would expect.
Is the unit a large device? No, the only thing you will see is a handheld breathalyzer connected to a telephone chord. The LifeSafer® Interlock is no bigger than an old cell phone.
Will anything be obstructed or damaged like my dashboard? No. There are no holes and no brackets are fastened to your vehicle.
Will I need to take a test while I am driving? Yes, but there is no need to remove your eyes from the road. The LifeSafer® Interlock will beep and blink at you to repeat a test.
